National University of Zaire
The National University of Zaire ((フランス語:Université nationale du Zaïre), UNAZA) was a university in then Zaire (present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo). It was formed in 1971 by merging three universities into a centralized structure initially called the University of the Congo.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The National University of Zaire: Birth, Organizational Structure and Development )〕 In 1981 the university was split up again into three autonomous entities:
*University of Kinshasa (prior to the merger it was known as the University of Lovanium)
*University of Kisangani
*University of Lubumbashi
It was a law of August 6, 1971 (n° 71/075) that created the institution as the ''University of the Congo''. A year later by publication of law n° 72/002 of January 12, 1972 it was renamed. In 1981 executive order n° 09/CC/81 of June 3 and law n° 25/81 of October 3 it was split up.
